The secrecy surrounding Wale's forthcoming album has been unveiled. A few hours ago, he revealed the project's title, and release date.
Mr. Folarin announced The Gifted, as the title of the album posting the news on Twitter, by way of a one-minute album trailer, in which he sits in prayer as the camera slowly zooms in closer.
With the release date drawing near, the 28-year-old seems confident about the album, but the pressure to live up to his past work, has not been forgotten. “The third albums are the hardest,” he told Hip Hop DX, last June. “You got two albums off yout chest and you're so much of a different person.”
The release date of The Gifted is rumored to have been pushed up due to the success of “Bad,” the latest single off Wale's Folarin mixtape. He plans to drop the music video for “Bad” later today, so be sure to check back with Hip-Hop Wired for the premiere.
